Casa Consuelo – A Discovery

After 2 nights at Pannzian Beach and Mountain Resort, we decided to try resorts somewhere near Blue Lagoon. My agenda is to take a sunset/sunrise shot of the lagoon. However, as we’re looking for a place to stay, the initial resort we have in mind “Kapuluan Vista” is fully booked that time. So we have no choice but to look for another one.

Fortunately, there was this “nice” place (at least on my first impression) that caught my attention. At first, we’re hesitant to inquire. And when we did, the air-conditioned room are fully booked and only one fan room was available.

With intense heat that day, I originally prefer a cooler room as much as possible but since we don’t have much of a choice, we decided to take a look at the available room.

Pannzian Beach and Mountain Resort – Gem of the North

I’ve been planning an Ilocos tour years ago. So when I got the chance few weeks ago, I never thought twice. I packed my bags and headed to the north… more often than not, when I travel, the first thing I will search on the Internet are the places to stay and where to eat. I’m very familiar with most common resorts in Pagudpud, but during my travel, I thought of staying to less known places, at least on my personal knowledge.

And then, there’s the “Pannzian Beach and Mountain Resort”. While doing research, I found out their beach do not have the typical fine white sand of Pagudpud, nor even swimming pool. But was amazed with good reviews and feedback. So the latter made me curious.

From Laoag City, it took me 3-4 hours driving. It’s already 5:30pm when we reached the resort. Fortunately, the owner was still there when we arrived. She gave us a bit history of how the resort started, how they manage it, their themes, food, and other information that made me love the place.

The lobby is the main restaurant.

My first impression was, I love the place! I love the ambiance! And supposedly, we planned for just an overnight stay. But seeing just the restaurant made me booked another night without seeing 90% of the place.

Treasures of Bolinao

I’ve waited months to be back in Bolinao. This time, equipped with better gears. My plan was to do an extensive photography. Something I haven’t done for a very long time.

Luckily, Treasures of Bolinao Resort sponsored our accommodation. What an early christmas gift! I appreciate their support in helping tourism advocacy.

Treasures of Bolinao Resort

The first time I set foot to this resort was way back November 2006. I remember, driving 5-6 hours from Manila, the rough road going to Patar was so terrible, and almost no information in the internet. However, it was love at first sight! The moment I checked in, I immediately went to their bridge and enjoyed the magnificent scenery of Patar White Beach for the first time. “This is a place to be…” – I whispered.
